Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:
This is a solid metal spherule about 1-inch in diameter. Meteorites,
particularly iron meteorites, are not spherical (see no.
001).

What is it?
The metal sphere was found buried in the ground near St. Louis. Our
analysis of the metal by energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry on
an
electron microprobe showed no peak for nickel, thus this is not a
meteorite but some man-made object. It may be a something shot from
a weapon, or possibly a ball from some kind of ball mill.
