Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:

It has a metallic luster, but it's not magnetic. This combination never occurs in meteorites. If a meteorite contains metal, the metal is magnetic.
What is it?

The rock is moderately dense and appears to consist of some oxide or sulfide mineral that has a metallic luster.
