Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:
This is one of the neatest meteorwrongs we've seen. It's metal (it
conducts electricity) and it has a coating that looks something like
a fusion crust. However, the texture of the metal is too fine grained
for an iron meteorite. Big problem: Our analysis shows it to be a
an alloy containing mostly manganese.
