Why this rock
is probably not a meteorite:
This thing looks metallic, but it doesn't have the rounded, aerodynamic
shape of an iron meteorite. Also, it's crystalline. An iron
meteorite never looks crystalline, unless it's been chemically treated
to show the Widmanstätten pattern.

What is it?
This is probably a mass of some sulfide mineral, possibly pyrite.
