Thanks to KP for this one - probably the best!
Meteorwrong Song
Dear Doctor Korotev,
I think I found a meteorite
It has magnets sticking to it
so it must be a meteorite, right
You say "it has some magnetite",
that can't be right cause it's a meteorite
There's a nickel in it and it points north if I spin it
how could that not be a meteorite
I looked on google and know about rocks,
I just don't see how that means it's not
I think I can prove it's something
especially since I found it by a parking lot
It has all these white things in it
and looks like the pictures on your web site
And don't forget magnets sticking to it,
must mean it's a lunar meteorite
It's too big for a regular rock
and I think I heard it fall the other night
What's even better is it has these things
that are hard as heck and sparkle bright
So what do you think Doctor Korotev
can you test my lunar meteorite
What do you mean my rock has quartz,
you mean dilithium crystals and kryptonite
Don't forget all of these white things in it
my god, it's so obvious isn't it
There's a slight chance you might be right,
but I checked it out with a magnifying light
You should put it in your electron machine
and make sure that it's a lunar meteorite
It's a different color than the regular rocks,
that can't be, unless it's something, right
Looks like the rocks I see on the Moon,
so I'll send it overnight, alright
Dear Doctor Korotev I haven't heard back
so that must mean good news right
Dear Doctor Korotev, I knew I was right
BCC confirmed lunar granite meteorite
So you might be right, that could be quartz
I know now it has stellar grains of all sorts
I called CNN so you don't have to,
but they may call so you can tell them I'm right
Dear Doctor Korotev, you told CNN
meteorwrong, it's terrestrial granite
I don't see how that's even possible
with all of these neat little things in it
I'm gonna put it on eBay anyway,
I just found ten more today, yay
